My Story

I’m Jordan Curry, founder of Captured Words Consulting, LLC, where I empower nonprofits to secure the funding they need to create lasting change. My mission is deeply personal—shaped by my own journey as a survivor of domestic violence and my unwavering belief in the power of nonprofits to transform lives.

Growing up, I experienced firsthand the life-changing support nonprofits provide to individuals and families in crisis. Later, as a survivor of interpersonal violence, I found myself even more determined to use my skills to help organizations that stand on the front lines of change—especially those addressing domestic violence, sexual assault, and other forms of interpersonal harm. I know what’s at stake, and I am passionate about helping these organizations maximize their impact.

As a single mom and full-time RV traveler, I’ve built a life that prioritizes adaptability, resilience, and purpose—qualities that I bring to my work every day. Whether it’s crafting a compelling grant proposal or designing a funding strategy, my approach is informed by empathy, focus, and a deep understanding of the challenges nonprofits face.

With 7+ years of experience, I’ve worked with organizations of all sizes to secure transformational funding, strengthen systems, and build meaningful relationships with funders. My ultimate goal is to support nonprofits, especially those tackling interpersonal violence, by giving them the tools they need to thrive and expand their reach.

When I’m not working with nonprofits, I’m homeschooling my daughter and exploring the country in our RV, sharing adventures through my travel blog. I believe in living a life full of connection, courage, and curiosity—and I bring that same energy to every project and every nonprofit I support.
